Mel Mujica is the founder of United Artist Films, a Canary Islands–based audiovisual company focused on the development of original cinematic intellectual property for the international market.
His creative trajectory spans film, storytelling and music. His early musical experience includes performing as a bassist in the rock musical Godspell in 1978, establishing a creative relationship with music that continues today through songwriting, composition and The Purple Spell.
He is the creator and screenwriter of Closed Algorithm, a philosophical and technological thriller developed as an international audiovisual property. The project explores technology, power, identity, memory and the human consequences of increasingly closed systems.
Through United Artist Films, Mujica works across creative development, production, international packaging, intellectual-property strategy and the integration of original music into audiovisual projects.
As songwriter and bassist of The Purple Spell, he also develops original repertoire connected to Purple Spell Records, UAF's music label and rights division.
